Objectives of PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana 2025
The government’s objective is to increase pulse production in the country to achieve self-sufficiency. The government will focus on the welfare of the poor, women, farmers, and youth. Special attention will be given to farm growth, manufacturing, and rural development. Efforts will also be made to improve the financial sector. Additionally, the credit limit for the Kisan Credit Card has been increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh.

- This scheme by the central government will directly benefit 1 crore 70 lakh farmers.
- Under the PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, high quality seeds will be made available to farmers at low prices so that production can increase.
- Along with this, farmers will be given free fertilizers to increase production.
- Small and marginal farmers will also be provided subsidy on agricultural equipment like tractor pumps and other things.
- The government has devised an aggressive strategy for purchasing pulses such as tur (arhar), urad, and masoor. This approach will involve utilizing the Price Support Scheme (PSS) and the Price Stabilization Fund (PSF).
- The government has committed to purchasing 100% of urad, arhar, and masoor dal to ensure that farmers do not have to sell their crops at low prices under compulsion.
- Now, pulses will be purchased either at the MSP or at prices near the market rates. This will ensure that farmers receive fair compensation, encouraging them to cultivate more pulses.
- Training will also be given on new technology about farming and using agricultural equipment. Apart from this, financial assistance will also be given to the farmers.
